In today’s world, Internet warfare, which we call “Cyber War”, is also a war that should not be ignored, because it is also an important backbone in the current war or confrontation between adversaries in the age of artificial intelligence and digital. “Cyber War” may be a new image of war for Cambodia, but for experts, it is very familiar. So we should not underestimate it at all. In this era, people’s lives are living in a world of complex information technology and are already accustomed to it.
At this time, «Cyber War” is happening a lot in this world. This war does not see the blood or the death of people or the disaster or the sorrow like an armed war, but the scale of the impact can be serious. This type of war does not require weapons and soldiers. Instead, it is a conflict that continues to rage on the Internet, and the people involved in this war are called hackers.
Up until now, for the wars that are raging like those between Israel and Iran, it has been concluded that in addition to the two countries engaging in armed warfare, it is also believed that both sides are also playing the game of “Cyber War”. The war between Russia and Ukraine has also been analyzed as having this problem.
Separately, for the United States and North Korea, there are still reports of this new war. There have been many reports in the past that North Korean hackers have invaded the United States, and there have also been reports that Russian hackers have also quietly invaded the United States in this “Cyber War” image.
In particular, the intense competition between big tech companies such as ChatGPT and DeepSeek can also be considered a fierce war.
In short, don’t make fun of “Cyber War”. It is a new image and challenge that we must be careful of. It is also a battle that has significant impact and consequences for Cambodia. When there is tension, they will play all the strategies and tactics.
In times of competition, especially hostility, moral issues can be overlooked and can be explored at any time to exploit. Therefore, caution and preparation are things that must be done urgently.
