Whether expensive or cheap, alcohol damages the health of both the rich and the poor without discrimination.

There are many alcohol users, with beer drinkers and wine drinkers. But both wine and beer are harmful to the health of everyone, whether rich or poor.

In general, these two drinks, namely wine And alcohol all have the same negative effects on the liver, heart, cancer, diabetes, and brain if we consume it excessively. So far, what is known is that in general, men who consume more than 300 ml of wine and more than 700 ml of beer, and for women, about 150 ml of wine and 350 ml of beer per day, are facing health problems.

According to research between wine and beer, the product that causes people to face more health problems is claimed to be slightly more than wine. That is why many people, especially those with social status, drink wine.

Because most of the ingredients used to make wine come from nature, and the production process, if done correctly, is one step away from being safe. But for beer, it requires the use of many chemical ingredients from production to packaging and to maintain quality for a long time.

Maybe it’s because of this that wealthy, wealthy people, and big celebrities, both abroad and especially in our country, tend to drink more wine than beer. For the middle-class, especially the youth, they like to drink beer.

As the demand for alcohol increases and expensive wines are bought as gifts for each other, on the occasion of the recent traditional New Year, the General Department of Consumer Protection, Competition and Counterfeiting Affairs found more than 4,000 bottles of counterfeit wine products.

The same source claimed before the new drug festival that the expert officers cooperated with the Phnom Penh Economic Crime Police and under the coordination of A deputy prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court inspected and searched a location where counterfeit alcohol was produced at an unmarked warehouse on Concrete Road, Prek Thmey Sangkat, Chbar Ampov District, Phnom Penh.

After inspection, it was found that there were many types of counterfeit liquor products, including equipment, mixing liquor, and empty bottle caps for the entrance to the entrance to the type of liquor bottles, including 289 cases of mixing liquor, equivalent to 3,396 bottles, 80 cases of counterfeit liquor, equivalent to 916 bottles, processing equipment, bottle caps, and some empty bottles.

This is a case that the authorities found. So how many of these counterfeit products are on the market? So, what health problems will drinkers face?

In short, it is difficult to describe the health effects of alcohol consumption in Cambodia. In the case of pure alcohol, it affects health, but what about fake or counterfeit alcohol produced according to technical principles and basic production methods? How does it affect the health of all of us? For health, we should reduce it, and after reducing it, we should stop using it for the benefit of ourselves, our families, and our communities.
