Hopefully, the honey that the authorities suspect and take legal action on, approximately 20 tons, is pure honey and does not harm health. However, if it is a fake product and it harms health, the law should be strictly enforced and criminal charges should also be considered.

Last week, the Economic Crimes Police Department of the Ministry of Interior arrested a Vietnamese female boss, the head of CHAN HONEY IMPORT EXPO RT CO.,LTD, and sent her to Phnom Penh Municipal Court for allegedly importing and stockpiling nearly 20 tons of counterfeit honey.
The authorities said the suspect was NGUYEN THI THANH THIEN. With address at house number 76, Boeung Chhouk Village, Niroth Sangkat, Chbar Ampov District, Phnom Penh.

The process of this law Action was taken after a team of experts from many different departments went to the company’s location. During the operation, the authorities found a total of 130 barrels of honey, weighing nearly 20 tons.
Suspicious that all the honey may be counterfeit, the authorities decided to temporarily seize it, store it at the company’s premises, seal it, and conduct further inspections. They also brought the Vietnamese owner of the premises and related individuals for questioning. On the 14th, the woman was taken to court.

So far, it is not known what charges the Vietnamese woman who is the head of the company is facing, and it is not yet known whether the honey is imported. Or is the honey made from something else to be faked and sold at a high price? And it is not known whether the honey confiscated by the authorities is a product of illegal refining and can affect health.
Regarding this issue, the relevant authorities should urgently work with the General Department of Consumer Protection, Competition Affairs and Suppression of Fraud “K.B.B.” of the Ministry of Commerce to clarify quickly and be careful of long nights and many dreams.

This case is not a joke because the amount of suspected honey is very large. Nearly 20 tons is not a small amount, and until it is discovered, it is unknown how many times this company has imported and distributed it, and how many tons. Please hurry up and announce the results as soon as possible, and announce them to the public immediately.
In the case where the honey is the evidence of suspicion, it is indeed honey, and the company is responsible for tax evasion or violation of import procedures, it is not a big deal. Just bring the relevant person to pay the fine according to the relevant law. But if it is fake honey and especially a product made from chemicals that are harmful to health, the law should be used more and the penalties should be severe.

We cannot allow it and should not compromise anything if honey is harmful to our health, because at this time, the health of some of our citizens is really deteriorating because of food. Day by day, partly due to eating unsafe food and partly due to eating without thinking, the number of people suffering from non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, heart, liver, stomach, intestines, and urinary tract is increasing.
In this case, if it affects health, legal action against the company and those involved, especially the woman who was arrested, should reach the Criminal Code because it is a matter of life. And the results of this experiment should be disseminated to the public so that they can be careful, because until it is discovered, it is not known how many tons this company imported and distributed, and how many people distributed it. In addition, the authorities should investigate the network and find those involved and clean it up.
In short, professional institutions should quickly identify and conduct experiments on these honeys to quickly find out the truth. The faster the truth is found, the less the impact. But if this work is slow and the results show that these honeys are fake and contain substances that are harmful to health, in addition to punishing this woman, those involved should investigate further and try to find a network to collect these products and destroy them so that they do not harm the health of our citizens.
